Vamosss! Stefano Gross Comeback in Val d’Isere

What a weekend in Val d'Isere! After the race, which was scheduled for December 14th, was postponed several times due to the stormy weather and in the end cancelled, the spot in the French Alps turned out to be a lot more welcoming the next day.

Bright sunshine gives the slalom men fantastic conditions. The perfect day for a comeback, Stefano Gross must have thought! The Italian from Val di Fassa wanted to attack again this winter after having had to go through several breaks due to knee injury last season. At the first race of the season in Levi, things weren't running too smoothly for the 33-year-old, but in Val d’Isere it was time and Gross was finally able to climb the podium again. After the first run in 7th place, he fought for 3rd place in the second round, which "means a lot" to the Italian. Norwegian Sebastian Foss-Solevaag also showed a brilliant performance in the second run and secured himself a top 10 place with 9th place. Congratulations, guys! You can build on that!
