Velvet Curtains, AK Chris Davenport and I got to session this incredible wall of spines while filming for Warren Miller this year. Just the most amazing lines in perfect conditions. Other than that I am pretty happy skiing any powder day anywhere. |
| Your best Skiing memory? |
First powder day on my first season as a ski bum in Chamonix in 1994. Its incredible how a low visibility stormy day can burn its way into the memory like that. I must have had hundreds of days after that with blue skies and perfect snow. But this day is still the one I remember |
| Most important contest results? |
I haven’t done contests for years, so I guess my most important contest result has been making it in the ski industry without doing them! |
| Best trick? |
The one that has given me more than 100days on skis every year for the last 15 years all over the world on someone else’s bill. Try copy that trick! |
| If you had to spend a year somewhere with no snow, where would you be? |
Australia. My wife Andrea is from there, and we try to spend a few months down there every year. I really like it, great surf, good climbing and friendly people. It would be hard to spend a whole year away from the mountains though. |
| When did you start skiing? |
I pretty much started skiing as soon as I could walk, I actually had dinner with my Nanny from when I was a kid, a few years ago. And she was telling story’s of how all I wanted to do was ski, even in summer, and that she would put skis on me in the living room, and I would ski across the carpet until I hit the wall, and then she would turn me around and I would go until I hit the wall on the other side. This could go on all day. |
